Jesus “Jesse” Gonzalez, age 49, of Fairmont City, IL, born on January 24, 1977, in Michoacan, Mexico, died on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
Jesse was a member of the Socios Car Club, where he enjoyed his low rider and spending time with his loving friends. He was very loving, especially to his family and friends. He adored his animals, especially dogs. Jesse will be remembered for his contagious laughter and smiles, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Luis Gonzalez.
Jesse is survived by his fiancé and the love of his life, Monica Suarez; his son, Matthew (Sarah) Suarez, Sr.; his grandson, Matthew Suarez, Jr.; his mother, Maria Cuevas; his siblings, Lupe, Jose, Alfonzo, Richard and Isela; his mother-in-law, Jo “Wee” Manley; his sister-in-law, Renee Mushill; and his best friend, Richie Chavez. Jesse is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL with Fr. Mike Barber officiating.
