Tammy Zimmerman, 68, of Wood River, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at her residence.
She was born on January 12, 1958, in Alton, IL, the daughter of Billy C. and Roberta (McAdams) West. She married Xavier Zimmerman in Edwardsville on October 22, 1999. He survives.
Along with her husband, Xavier, she is survived by her children, Misty Owens of Cottage Hills, and Amanda Saggio of Bethalto; six grandchildren, Alexis Smoot of Alton, Caleb Harris of Alton, Glen Harris of Alton, Dominick Torres of Bethalto, Dayton Torres of Bethalto, and Camdon Neal of Bethalto; three great-grandchildren, Bryleigh Smoot, Bryson Jones, and Brielle Jones; a sister, Robin Wright of Piasa, IL; and brother, Eddie (Tracy) West of Wood River.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Billy and Roberta; a son-in-law, Richard Saggio; a sister, Brenda Fisher; and two brothers, Billy West, and Michael West.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, from 4 pm to 7 pm, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Funeral will be on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 11 am, Chaplain Eddie West and Tracy West will officiate.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials are suggested to her grandson, Dayton Torres (Amanda's son), to help with covering final expenses.
