Ann Weber, age 90, of Carrollton, Il. died peacefully Friday (September 18, 2026) in White Hall, Il.
She was born July 25, 1936, in White Hall, Il. daughter of the late Louis Winters and Norma Retherford Winters Bensa.
She married her high school sweetheart Wayne Weber on August 15, 1954, in Carrollton, Il. and he preceded her in death on July 1, 2001.
Surviving are her children, Michael “Mike” Weber (Becky) of Metamora, Il., Richard “Rich” Weber of Carrollton, Il., Kathy Grizzle (Darrin) of Carrollton, Il., Jim Weber (Tammy) of Carrollton, Il., and Diane Hendricks (Grant) of Carrollton, Il.; fourteen grandchildren, John Weber, Sarah Jackson (Alex), Anne Marie Perkins (Jeremy), Mary Catherine Kamm (Chad), Melia Sibley (Chase), Caleb Weber, Mallory Cunningham (AJ), Eric Weber (Amanda), Ryan Weber (Cody), Kurtis Weber (Haley), Michaela Pembrook (Alex), Jacob Hendricks (Alicia), Melissa Squier (Tyler), Katie Wisnewski (Hans); twenty-six great-grandchildren and one due in October; a brother, Craig Winters (Deb) of Carrollton, Il.; and four nieces.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Michelle Weber; great-grandchild, Patrick Pembrook; and a sister, Doris Frazier.
Ann was a graduate of Greenfield High School and was homecoming queen her junior year. She was a member of the Carrollton Presbyterian Church and loved overseeing the family meals at the church. Ann was instrumental in the organizing of the PTO Carnival at the Carrollton grade school. She was an election judge for Linder Township for many years, and in several card clubs over the years. She loved teaching card games to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved decorating for Christmas and spending time with her family all through the year. She was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed going to the games. For many years, she was proud to call the family farm home. The farm was more than just a place to live-it was a place where memories were made, family gathered, and generations grew up surrounded by love. Some of her happiest moments were spent there with her family. She loved riding around the farm on the Gator, going fishing, and simply being together with the people she loved. Those ordinary days became some of the most treasured memories her family will carry with them forever.
Mom was known for her wonderful cooking and for always having a place at her table for the people she loved. She found joy in cooking for her family, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and, of course, enjoying a little gambling whenever she had the chance.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday (September 28, 2026) at the Carrollton Presbyterian Church in Carrollton, Il. Burial will be in Carrollton City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the church. Memorials may be made to District One Foundation in Ann and Wayne’s memory and sent to 108 North 5th Street Carrolton, Il. 62016.
