It is with sorrow we announce the passing of Justin Paige Eades “Bub” age 50 from Bunker Hill, Illinois. He was Born on July 21, 1976 to Gary and Debbie Eades in Alton Illinois and passed September 4, 2026 at Barnes Jewish hospital, after a lengthy battle with leukemia.
He was a long time resident & 1994 graduate of Roxana, IL. He was employed by Folsom Distributing for many years. Later in life he coached girl’s soccer for a niece, through Roxana Recreation, He loved being involved with the parents & kids.
He is survived by his dog Winter & cats Nim & Imp, who he viewed as his family. They will continue to be loved & cared for by his parents. He is survived by Grandmother Victoria Nagel, sister Serenity Jade Eades, brother Jordan Coulter (Jessica) Eades. His nieces and nephews Adella Lee, Emma Grace, Lisa Diane, LillyPad, Blake, Cooper, and Quinten (Quin) Eades, & he was Pawpaw Bub to Titan Henderson. He considered all of them his own and loved them fiercely. Surviving are many cousins, aunts & Uncles, but he had a special bond with Bryan and Starla Beckwith, Carla Hansen as well as Chris & Britton Oglesby for which he was always grateful for their love and encouragement. Also surviving are lifelong best friends Justin Hamilton, Jeremy Newberry & Rachel Redden.
Justin was known to all he met as “Bub” and to the children he impacted, “Uncle Bub”. He treated those he let into his life like family and took on a sense of pride and responsibility in being a “big brother or Uncle”. He was always there to encourage, support, pick you up and put you in your place at the same time. A friend that any one of any age could confide in and connect with. “Uncle or brother” seems hardly big enough for the roll he played and the imprint he has left in many lives. Syd, Katie, Nick, Adam, Brody, Sierra, Caiti, Blacke W, Hattie, Beau, little Jordan, Talyn, Spencer, Gage, Kale, Genevieve, Hunter, Hank & Halle are just a handful of the many children in his life who are better because “Uncle Bub” loved them.
He was preceded in death by his Grandfathers Carl Kaulen, Henry Nagel (Gpa peach), Charles Quinten Eades & Grandmother Mary Irene (Grange) Eades, stepdaughter Jenna Foraker, nephew Owen Eades & cousin Johnnie Blair, as well has his other two moms growing up, Willie Bergkoetter, Maw Newberry & his beloved dog Ebony.
He moved to Bunker Hill in 2021, to be closer to nature and family. He enjoyed nature photography, hunting, fishing, being outdoors, & teaching these skills to his nieces, nephews & all the extras. He especially loved a fish fry or BBQ, gathering around a campfire with music, smoke, beer & people he loved. He found his home here in small town Bunker Hill along with people he called Friends and Family. A special thank you goes out to the Provaznik, Rather, Hanner families & so many more.
Justin touched many lives in a positive heartfelt way. The messages we have received about his heart & character from young to old, has been overwhelming. He will be greatly missed, especially Mom & Dad. We will always love you, Son.
A Celebration of Life will be held Oct 24th, 3pm to 7pm at the American Legion, 319 Marion St., Bunker Hill, IL. The Eulogy will be given by Justin Hamilton followed with dinner & music by “Miller Floyd”.
