Clifford “Cliff” Dael Ferris III, age 54, of Granite City, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Born on July 13, 1972, in Granite City, Cliff was the son of the late Clifford and Linda (Clutts) Ferris II.
A proud United States Army veteran, Cliff served his country with honor. He was truly a jack of all trades and could build or repair nearly anything he set his mind to. Kindhearted and generous, Cliff never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Cliff had a wonderful sense of humor and was often the life of the party. He loved making people laugh and treasured the time he spent with his family and friends. As a member of Granite City Eagles Aerie #1126, he especially enjoyed gathering and visiting with his many friends there. Cliff’s warmth, laughter, and willingness to help others will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving children, Donovan (Kaylee) Ferris of New Baden, Illinois, Mackenzie Ferris of Indiana, and Bryce Ferris of New Baden, Illinois; his dear sisters, Christina Ferris of Edwardsville, Illinois, and Constance (Patrick) O’Brien of Bismarck, Missouri; his beloved granddaughter, Brinley Ferris; two nephews, David (Margo)Reavill and Jacob Reavill; and one niece, Jessica O’Brien. As well as many extended family members, and dear friends.
In celebration of his life, a memorial gathering will start at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at Granite City Eagles Lodge #1126, 2558 Madison Avenue, Granite City, Illinois.
Interment will take place at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri, on Monday, October 26, 2026, at 2:30 p.m., with military honors conducted by the United States Army. Family and friends are asked to meet at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road, Granite City, IL., on Monday, at 1:15 p.m. and the funeral procession will leave at 1:30 p.m.
