She was born February 1, 2024, in Shiloh, Illinois, the beloved daughter of Cody Alan “DaDa” Humphreys and the late Shanna Lee “Momma” Burns.
Bailey was a happy, loving little girl with a strong and confident personality. Affectionately known as the “boss baby,” Bailey liked things her way and had no trouble letting everyone know it. She had so much love to give and was always ready with open arms and the very best hugs. Her bright spirit, sweet smile, and loving nature brought immeasurable joy to everyone fortunate enough to know her.
One of the greatest loves of Bailey’s young life was her best friend and bubba, Sebastian. The special bond they shared was precious beyond words, and they were rarely far from one another.
In addition to her father, Cody, Bailey is survived by her grandparents, Luther and Sherrie Burns of Collinsville, Elizabeth and Nykky Schildman of Pontoon Beach, and Christopher Humphreys of Pontoon Beach; great-grandparents, Luther Burns of Collinsville and Marilyn Humphreys of Granite City; bonus dad, Gavin Newman of Crestview, Florida; many loving aunts and uncles; cousins; other extended family members; and many dear friends.
In addition to her momma, Shanna, and her bubba, Sebastian, she was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Sharon Gallagher, Sue Drummond, Charlotte Burns, and Cynthia and David Schildman.
Bailey’s beautiful little life was far too brief, but the love and happiness she brought into the lives of her family will remain forever. Her hugs, her confidence, her determination, and the unforgettable personality of their little “Bay Bay” will always be treasured.
