Henrietta L. Jordan, 90, of Bethalto, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2026.
She was born on August 8, 1936, in Edwardsville, IL, the daughter of Henry and Amelia (Hrbacek) Cwan. Henrietta married Woodrow L. Jordan in Wood River on April 16, 1955. He preceded her in death on July 14, 2017.
Henrietta worked for 33 years as a secretary for State Farm Insurance in Bethalto until her retirement in 1991. She was a member of 1st Christian Church of Wood River, and the Senior Citizen's Club. She enjoyed traveling, working with her hands and making crafts, gardening flowers, and was in the quilting club at church. Henrietta loved being with her family.
Survivors include her children, Debbie (Steve) McDonough of Bethalto, and Randy (Melissa) Jordan of Edwardsville; grandchildren, Jenny (Bryan) Birdsong, Lori (Brian) Caveny, David (Samantha) Jordan, Ryan (Samantha) Jordan, and Jacob Jordan; and great-grandchildren, Isaac, Annie, Clara James, and Nora.
Along with her parents, and husband, Woodrow, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Cwan.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 4 to 7 pm, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Funeral service will be on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 10 am, at 1st Christian Church in Wood River. Pastor Walter McCaslin will officiate.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
