Sylvia Pearl Anita Korte, nee Maserang, 93, of Belleville, IL, born January 22, 1933, in Millstadt, IL, died Saturday, September 6, 2026, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.
Mrs. Korte enjoyed bingo, loved cats, and spending time with her family; especially taking them to Six Flags. Sylvia was an avid Chicago Cubs baseball fan. In her younger days, she also enjoyed bowling and once even had a perfect game! She was formally active in the American Legion Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Robert Bernard Korte, whom she married on June 30, 1959, and who died on January 15, 2009; her parents, William and Irene, nee Weber, Maserang; and a brother, William “Bill” (Rosemary) Maserang.
Surviving are three daughters, Laura (Mark) Newton, Susan (Raymond) Feltmeyer, and Sandra Korte; a son, David Korte; two grandchildren, Chrissy (Tim) Botkin and Mindy Feltmeyer (Benjamin Reener); two great-grandchildren, Erin Botkin (Cameron Proffitt) and Ion Tuttle; and many dear nieces, nephews, and cousins.
