Graciela Hernandez, a beloved homemaker and cherished member of the Alton community, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 4, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on Saturday, March 13, 1943, Graciela lived a full life dedicated to her family and loved ones.
Graciela is survived by her devoted husband, Roberto Lopez, Jr., who stood by her side throughout their loving years together. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy through her children: two daughters, Laura Salvador and Alejandra de la Fuente, and two sons, Andres de la Fuente and Alfonso de la Fuente. Her nurturing spirit and unconditional love will continue to live on in her four grandchildren: Ximena, Yannick, Arantxa, and Fernanda.
Graciela is also survived by her sister, Martha Ochoa, with whom she shared countless memories and a deep familial bond. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mario Hernandez and Graciela Hernandez-Arellano, whose values and love shaped the woman she became.
As a devoted homemaker, Graciela dedicated her life to creating a warm and welcoming home filled with love, joy, and laughter. Her culinary skills and nurturing presence were the cornerstone of many cherished family gatherings and celebrations.
In accordance with Graciela's wishes, no services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gent Funeral Home & Cremation Services, ensuring respectful and compassionate care as she is laid to rest.
