Deanne Michelle Richards, 64, of Medora, died at 6:45 a.m., Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at her home.
She was born on May 29, 1962, in Alton, Illinois, the daughter of the late Wilbur Dean and Clara (Martin) Huff.
Deanne was employed as a machinist with St. Louis Diecast, where her strong work ethic and determination served her well throughout her career.
She married Timothy Richards on March 24, 2001, in Jerseyville, and together they shared 25 years of marriage.
Deanne was a woman who enjoyed life on her own terms. She was an avid reader and found great enjoyment tending to her garden. She also loved getting behind the wheel and taking to the open road, and, for Deanne, the faster the better. She held a special place in her heart for her beloved dog, Bonni, whose companionship brought her tremendous joy.
Above all, Deanne treasured her family and the life they shared together.
Surviving are her husband, Timothy Richards of Medora; her children, Amber Summers of Medora, Haiden Dean Summers of Medora, Elizabeth Richards of Rock Island, Kimberly Hausman of Alton and Christopher Richards of Bethalto; six grandchildren, Rebel Summers, Trichelle Gay, Marcus Gay, Jaxon Gay, Lily Hausman and Magnolia Richards; as well as her beloved dog, Bonni.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Aaron Dean Summers; her paternal grandparents, George and Beulah Huff; and her maternal grandparents, Otis Preston and Harriet “Hattie” Martin.
In accordance with Deanne’s wishes, no public services will be held.
