Terry J. Durham, 88, of Edwardsville, IL, passed away at 8:19 am, Friday, September 4, 2026 at his residence.
Born on January 19, 1938 to Dorsey and Kathryn (Thomas) Durham in East Alton, IL. Terry was a retired teacher and coach at Roxana High School.
He married Kathleen McBrien, March 19th 1960, for 42 years and she preceded him on September 19, 2001, then he married Maureen Kay Overath-Durham and she preceded him on May 11, 2024.
Surviving are a son, Brien J. Durham of Chandler, AZ; two daughters, Michaela Durham of Alton, IL and Margaret and (Thomas "Thom") Moreau of Moab, UT; a grandson, Tyler Ash Moreau; brothers and sisters, Darcy Polowski, Thomas Durham, Debbie Holman, and Jim Durham; sister in-law Harriet Sue McBrien Jenkins and brother in-law Robert McBrien.
He is proceeded in death by his brother, Robert Durham, his sister Patrica Durham Taylor, his parents Dorsey and Kathryn Durham, and his Mother and Father in-laws Harriett and Dr. John McBrien.
From Terry’s second marriage to Maureen K. Overath-Durham there are two daughters; Mauri Overath of Belleville, Jill and Andy Lafrenier-Overath of Caseyville IL and two step grandchildren Lairra Rodriguez and Rubbee Unverzagt.
Memorial service will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 10 East Third Street, Alton, IL 62002 at 4:00pm Sunday September 13th. Memorials may be given to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
