Karen Ann Dmytryk, 76, of Benld, IL, died at St. John's Hospital, Springfield, IL., on Monday, August 31, 2026, at 7:20 am. She was born November 1, 1949, in Litchfield, IL to Michael A Dmytryk & Ida Crusciel Dmytryk. She married Jack A. Bain. She was a retired college teacher.
Karen is survived by her daughter, Anastasia (Stephen) Skeldon of Wilsonville, IL, grandchildren, Stephanie Skeldon, Erica (Chris) Thibodoeus. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, children, Marie Bain, Michael Bain and brother, Michael A. Dmytryk. Public graveside services will be on Friday, September 11, 2026 at 10am at Holy Dormition Cemetery in Benld, IL. Memorials are suggested to wishes of the family.
