Mina Marie Baker, 77, of Shipman, IL, died at her residence on Sunday, August 16, 2026 at 6:40 pm.
She was born December 4, 1948, in Carlinville, IL to Gilbert Cox & Pearl Cottingham Cox. She married Gerald L. Baker on March 18, 1966 in Medora, IL. She had worked as a seamstress at a bridal shop. Mina was an avid quilter and loved sewing.
She is survived by her spouse, Gerald Baker of Shipman, IL, daughters, Monica (Richard) Sawyer of Plainview, IL, Tina (Jeffrey) Gibson of Gillespie, IL, grandchildren, Shelbey (Matt) Garber, Lynsey (Cody) Hallstead, Connor Sawyer, great-grandchild, Knox Hallstead, sister, Jan (Barry) Stanley of Brighton, IL and brother in law, David Griswold.
Mina was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Kay Griswold and Carol Opel.
A service to honor Mina's life will be held on August 29, 2026 at 1pm at Woodburn Bible Church. Memorials are suggested to Woodburn Bible Church.
