Terry Joe Hart, 73, of Granite City, IL, passed away at 9:44 a.m. Sun. March 1, 2026 at his home while under hospice care.
He was born Dec. 11, 1952 in Murphysboro, IL to the late Erna Hart.
Terry had served in the U.S. Army and after his military service worked on farms and mobile home park maintenance. He loved animals and being outdoors.
He is survived by a daughter Amy Tatum of Decatur, IL, 3 grandchildren, Akeyra, Ava and Tre, 2 great-grandchildren, Gracie and TJ, and a sister and brother-in-law, Jackie and Don Illies of Granite City.
Services are private. He will be laid to rest with his family at St. John Cemetery in Collinsville.
