June Wise, age 97, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, Saturday evening, February 14, 2026.

There will be a private family interment in Mt. Auburn Cemetery.  A Celebration of June's life will be held March 1st, 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the Old Mill, 596 IL 127, Greenville.  Memorials may be made to Bond County Hospice or St. Louis Children's Hospital, c/o Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home, 203 West Oak, Greenville, Illinois  62246.

Dolores June, the sixth child of Herman N. and Goldie (Cook) Albert, was born June 28, 1928, in Tamalco Township on the family farm. She attended Crossno School, Keyesport, Carlyle, and Mulberry Grove high schools, graduating in 1946. June worked at the First National Bank in Greenville before she and Duane Wise were married November 1, 1947, in Greenville. Duane passed away on April 18, 1988.

June was a farm wife, as well as working for 34 years in the office of Greenville Sale Barn. At the same time she was the leader of Chatterbox 4-H Club and a member of Home Extension. After retiring, June volunteered at the Hospital Thrift Shop in Greenville for 35 years and was active in the Bond County Historical Society. She cared for her home and loved mowing the lawn. June was well known for her pies and being a wonderful seamstress.

Surviving are her two children: daughter, Christy (Larry) Martin and son, Dennis “Denny” Wise both of Greenville. Grandchildren: Holly (Brian) Bowers of St. Louis, Aaron (Jen) Martin of Palmdale, California, Crystal Goodall, Brandon Wise, and Robbie (Tracie) Wise, all of Greenville. Great-grandchildren: Sam, Lucy, and Ben Bowers: Sophie, Emma, and Nathan Martin; Owen and Audrey Goodall; Ava, Logan, and Ella Wise. Also surviving is a sister, Mildred Evanich of Springfield, as well as nephews and nieces.

June was preceded in death by daughter-in-law Jodi Wise, and siblings Merl Albert, Earl Albert, Don Albert, Margie Jaeger, Marilyn Stanton, William Albert, Melba Owensby, and Joyce Ennen, as well as in-laws Aaron and Pearl Wise, Laurel Wise, Ermon Wise and Lois Kleiner.
