Dolores Jean Fischer, 92, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2025 at La Bella of Alton.

Born Dec. 4, 1932 in Hartford, she was a daughter of Warren and Minnie (Ansell) Hillman.

She married Harold Linders Feb. 27, 1950.  She later married Horst K. H. Fischer March 3, 1977 in Edwardsville.  He passed away Oct. 4, 2018.

Dolores worked as an inspector for Smith & Wesson in Alton for 19 years.  She enjoyed caring for her flowers and plants, plus spent many hours embroidering.

Survivors include three sons, Bob (Katerina) Linders of New Port Richey, FL, David Linders of Bethalto, Mike (Gina) Fischer of Wesley Chapel, FL; a daughter, Shelly (Terry) Lohr of Godfrey; her grandchildren, Barry (Mary) Linders, Chad (Jessica) Linders, Kyle (Natilie) Linders, Kirstyn (Peter) Muldoon, Kristoffer Fischer, Kari Lohr, Mackenzie Gibbs (fiancée Chase), Nikolay (Kelsey) Borokhov, and Veronika Borokhova; 7 great grandchildren; Alaina Linders, Mason and Maddix Muldoon, Cailyn, Gracie, Kinsley Linders and Scotty Aurtherson. Also a sister-in-law, Donna Hillman of Wood River; and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Betty Hinthorne; and two brothers, Gordon Hillman and Warren F. Hillman.

Visitation will be Saturday, Dec. 13 at Paynic Home for Funerals from 9 a.m. until services begin at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
