Connie Vi Schroeder, age 83, died at 11:05 AM on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at SSM DePaul Hospital in St. Louis. She was born in Alton on October 14, 1942 the daughter of the late Franklin and Esther (Moore) Ketchum Daniels and her step-father, Raymond Daniels.

Connie was a long-time member of the former Elm St. Presbyterian Church in Alton and had always been involved with the Crisis Food Center. Over the years she had several jobs, from bookkeeping at National Auto Supply on Broadway in Alton, the Alton State Hospital, private in-home care and billing for a local Alton doctor. She was an avid bowler.

She is survived by one daughter; Kayla Mueller of Alton, one son; Darrell Schroeder (Cory) of Godfrey, six grandchildren; Edward, Raymond, Robert and Matthew Mueller, and Aydan and Oliver Schroeder, three great grandchildren; Aurora and Karson Mueller and Cordelia Pape. Also surviving are one brother; Franklin “Dee” Ketchum (Marsha) of Godfrey, one nephew; Derrick Ketchum of Brighton and a niece; Kendra Taul (Don) of Godfrey.

She was preceded in death by her former husband, Richard Schroeder.

Visitation will be from noon until a memorial service at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Gent Funeral in Alton with Reverend Dr. Glen Greenwood officiating.
