William F. “Bill” Reape, Jr., 60, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025, at his home.

Born Aug. 28, 1965 in St. Louis, he was a son of William F. Reape, Sr. and Mary Carol (Ries) Reape.

A proud U.S. Army veteran, Bill served his country overseas in Germany. He worked as a drywall finisher for 35 years for the Painters Local #115 out of St. Louis. He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycles and hunting deer.  He took very good care of his loving mom.

He married Kim (Burke) in Clayton, MO on June 5, 1991.  She survives, along with his siblings, Michael Reape of Edinburgh, Scotland, David (Laurie) Reape of O’Fallon, MO, Maureen Adler of Wentzville, MO, Colleen (John) Burghoff and Sean (Amy) Reape, all of St. Louis; 17 nieces and nephews; 20 great- nieces and nephews; and 2 great-great nieces; and a very special great niece that he treated as his own daughter, Desiree Shumate of Angleton, TX.  He loved spending time with her and attended all her softball games and activities.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Timothy Adler.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Sept. 17 at Paynic Home for Funerals from 9 a.m. until services begin at 11:30 a.m.

Burial with full military honors will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
