Patricia “Patty” Eileen Brown passed away on October 7, 2024 at LaBella in Alton.

She was born Aug. 22, 1956 in Niland, CA to the late William Kelley and Delores Gowens.

On June 10, 1995 she met her life partner, Robert “Bob” Acker. He survives.

Patty worked as a CNA for 31 years and absolutely loved her work. She loved her family and friends dearly. She was a collector of owls, loved to dance, play Bingo, and have a good time. Patty always had a smile on her face, and she definitely put a smile on others’ faces. Patty also loved her dog, Sandy.

In addition to her life partner Bob, survivors include her children, James Kelley, Beverly (William) Wallace, Edith (Robert) Johnson, and Catrina (Andrew) Wallace; 34 grandkids, 14 great grandkids, siblings William Kelley, Cindie (John) Sanders, Doug (Carissa) Eason; a brother-in-law Richard Chambers; many nieces and nephews; and best friends, Mary McMahan and Mary Morton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jason Kelley; sisters Sharon Chambers and Karen Kelley; brother, Robert Kelley; sister-in-law, Debra Kelley; and Hal Brown, the father of her children.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, 2024 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights.

Memorials may be made to the family, in care of Beverly Wallace, to assist with expenses.
