Samuel Douglas Cooney, born Saturday, September 7, 2024, son of Kevin M. and Katie Maurer Cooney of Greenville, went to heaven; Sunday, September 8, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.
Samuel is the baby brother of Mark Boone Cooney and Theodore Daniel Cooney. His Grandparents are Dan & Patti (Gaffner) Maurer of Greenville and Mary D. & and the Late Mark J. Cooney of Arvada, Colorado.
Great grandparents are C.W. & Edith Gaffner of Greenville, Richard (Judy) and the late Margaret Maurer of Johnstown, CO, the late Gerald & Patricia Cooney of Denver, Colorado and the late John & Jane Douglas of Catlin, Illinois.
Samuel has 6 first cousins; Madilyn, James, Charlotte, Benjamin, Adeline and Hazel. His Aunts and Uncles include: David & Emily Maurer, Arvada, CO; Andrew & Sierra Maurer, Mooresville, N.C.; Catie & Jessie Riddle and Carie Cooney, of Arvada, CO. and a host of extended family; Great Aunts, Uncles and cousins located around the United States.
A family celebration of Samuel’s life will be held in October in Greenville and in November in Arvada.
