James P. Noble, 85, passed away at 10:12 a.m. on Friday, October 6, 2023, at Christian North East Hospital.
He was born on January 24, 1938, in Alton, IL to Robert L. and Theda (Laughlin) Noble.
He married Shirley Clowers on July 17, 1965, in Alton, IL. She survives.
James was a graduate of Alton High School. He was in the United States Air Force from 1956 to 1960. Then, he worked as a line foreman at Illinois Power for over 30 years before retiring.
James was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Godfrey. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and IBEW. He loved golfing and his greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Along with his wife, James is survived by two daughters, Stacey Noble-Loveland of Alton, IL and Beth (Frank) Bowles of Worden, IL; two grandchildren, Tanner (Andrea) Miles of Edwardsville, IL and Ty (Catie) Loveland of Peoria, IL; and a sister, Sally (Alex) Goldberger of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Theda, and brothers, Robert Noble and Thomas Noble.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023, from 9 a.m. until memorial service at 11 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Godfrey, IL. Pastor Timothy Appel will officiate the service.
Memorials may be given to Faith Lutheran Church.
