Michael Robert Hubbs, 44, of St. Louis, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2019 at Mercy South Hospital in St. Louis.
Michael was born on September 16, 1975 in Highland, IL. Michael was a horse trainer at Fairmont Park Race Track in Collinsville and loved nature and animals, especially horses. Michael enjoyed his days of deer hunting and being outdoors, most of all Michael enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his giving heart and all the special times he shared with his family and friends.
Michael is survived by and will be missed by his dad and step mom; John and Leslie Hubbs of Maryville, Illinois; his mom, Cindy Levingston; brother, Nathan Hubbs of Edwardsville; sister, Kendra Hubbs of Maryville; grandparents, Robert Hubbs, Benny and Frances Rains; companion, Jennifer Mahn and numerous aunts, uncle, cousins and many other close family members and friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Joan Hubbs and Patricia Melton.
In celebration of Michael’s life, a memorial visitation will be held on Friday, November 8, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 7:00 p.m. at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City. Memorial donations in Michael’s name can be given to Mercy Health Foundation and will be accepted at the funeral home or online at mercyhealthfoundation.net.
