Howard Dean 'Skip' Minton, 74, of Bunker Hill, IL, passed away at 5:15 a.m. Tues. Sept. 17, 2019 at Jefferson Barracks VA Medical Center in St. Louis, MO.

He was born Jan. 31, 1945 in Alton, IL to the late Howard & Maudine (Brotherton) Minton.

Skip was a U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam veteran and Purple Heart recipient. After service, he worked as a truck driver and a welder. He was an avid Harley Davidson motorcyclist.

He is survived by 2 daughters: Trudi Vaughn of Eugene, OR and Bobbi Ridge of Grand Terrace, CA; 3 grandchildren: Kory, Tyler and Emma Grace; 3 great-grandchildren: a sister: Pat (David) Eldridge of Bunker Hill; and a nephew: David (Sherrie) Eldridge of Bunker Hill.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Connie Brown.

Services are private.
