Cynthia L. "Cindy" Eaker, 68, passed away 11:41 pm, Monday, January 7, 2019 in the emergency room at OSF St. Anthony Health Center.
Born in Alton on November 14, 1950, she was the daughter of Edward Bruce Rhoades and Lillian Ann (Melton) Rhoades Flure.
She had worked as a sales associate for various grocery stores in the area and for Senior Citizen Plus in Hartford.
On December 6, 1996, Cindy married Carl U. Eaker. He survives.
Surviving also are sons, Steven (Kylie) Rice of Rosewood Heights, Kenneth Rice of Cottage Hills; step-son, Richard (Samantha) Eaker of Rosedale, TX; daughter, Tina (Raymond) Fisher of Cottage Hills; 10 grandchidren; several great grandchildren; and brothers, Steve Rhoades in Korea and Bill Rhoades in Florida.
His parents and step-father, Earl Flure preceded in death.
Visitation will be from 10 am until time of service at 11 am, Friday, January 11 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.
Burial will follow in Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
