Betty Lee Vassier, 87, died at 6:27 p.m. Monday, March 6, 2017 at her home. Born August 3, 1929 in Edwardsville, she was the daughter of Elon and Jesse (Huff) Rives. She was a bookkeeper for Midwest Accounts Service for over 20 years retiring in 1989. On August 15, 1947 she married Robert Vassier in Alton. He preceded her in death at 10:45 a.m. on the same day, March 6, 2017. Surviving is a daughter and son-in-law, Lynne and Randy Jackson of Godfrey and two grandchildren, Luke R. Jackson and Tyler S. Jackson. Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Vassier. There will be no services. Memorials may be made to BJC Hospice.
