Floyd William “Bill” Osborn, 72, passed away at 6:16 pm Saturday February 18, 2017 at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton.
He was born on February 14, 1945 in Chicago, IL the son of Delmar “Mutt” & Juanita (Knight) Osborn.
Bill married Wendy Bennett on October 14, 1966 at Curdie Heights Baptist Church. She survives.
He served in the US. Air Force from 1963 to 1966 and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Baseball fan.
Bill loved spending time with his family and is survived by his wife, Wendy Osborn of Alton, two daughters and their spouse, Ann Marie & Frank Schoenbaum of Moro and Michelle “Shelly” Osborn & Dena Hawk of Alton; four grandchildren and their spouses, Sarah & Russell May, Kelsey & Timothy Watters, Amanda Schoenbaum & Timur Boyd and Ciara & Cory Cunningham; three great grandchildren, Jacob Cunningham, Chance Cunningham and Liam May; two brothers, Lloyd “Butch” (Evie) Osborn and George Ralph Osborn and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, William “Billy” B. Osborn, and an infant great granddaughter, Winry “Winnie” Alizabeth May; and two sisters, Judy Osborn and Dorothy Jean Edwards.
Visitation will be held from 9 am until time of funeral services at 11 am Wednesday February 22, 2017 at Elias Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton with Pastor Kale Hanson. Military rites will follow by Alton VFW Post 1308.
Cremation rites will follow.
Memorials may be directed to the family for funeral expenses.
