Kerry Murl McCracken, age 58 of Edwardsville, Illinois, died at 7:42 a.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2016, at Edwardsville Nursing and Rehab. He was born on July 1, 1958, in East St. Louis, Illinois, the son of the late Murl & Darlene (Geers) McCracken. Kerry was a manager and mechanic for several bowling alleys in the area, worked as a radio deejay, and was an instructor at Lewis & Clark Community College in the communications department.
He is survived by a sister, Kyle Stunkel of Glen Carbon, Illinois; a niece, Kirsten Stunkel; four nephews, Erik Stunkel, Ben Stunkel, Nathan Williams, Paul Williams; one great nephew, Nick Lippoldt; one great niece, Jocelyn Williams; three aunts; one uncle; and many cousins. Kerry was a big fan of the St. Louis Blues and St. Louis Cardinal. He was also an avid bowler.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, December 26, 2016, at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville. A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Kent Schuette officiating. He will be cremated according to his wishes.
