Doris A. Turner, 86, passed away 8:45 a.m. Monday, December 28, 2015 at Alton Nursing and Rehabilitation.
She was born August 29, 1929 in Burlington, IA, the daughter of Louis and Hattie (Hook) Donahue.
She married Jack Turner in Chester, IL. He died July 13, 1993.
She retired after 26 years as a mental health technician from Alton State Hospital. She then worked as a cook for Bethalto Care Center.
Surviving are two sons, Richard (Diane) Littlefield and Alan (Nancy) Turner all of Cottage Hills; and numerous grandchildren.
Her parents; husband, and daughter, Debra Hartwell preceded in death.
In accordance with her wishes, her body was cremated.
Memorials may be made the American Cancer Society.
Marks Mortuary in Wood River is in charge of arrangements.
