Marjyorie E. Lefler 84, died at 7:56 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at her residence. She was born January 13, 1931 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Marjyorie worked as a surgery tech at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Alton until her retirement in 1993. She loved her five dogs, going to the casinos and was a beautiful painter. In 1949 she married William Joseph Lefler and he preceded her in death on June 7, 1992. Surviving are three sons; William Lefler (Connie) of Belgrade, MO, Brad Lefler (Lynn) of Alton and Tom Lefler of Alton, three grandchildren; William Joseph Lefler III, Christina Nichols and Eric Patterson and four great-grandchildren; Brittany Lefler, Jasmine Lefler, Ethan Patterson and Joseph Patterson. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by one son; Jeffery Lefler. Services will be scheduled at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
