Winona E. Dustmann

Winona E. Dustmann, 88, passed away at 9:36 am Friday September 17, 2010 at Alton Memorial Hospital.

She was born on July 24, 1922 in Morgan County, IL the daughter of Ralph & Nora (Wiggs) Dugger.

She married Lawrence W. Dustmann on May 6, 1947 in Jacksonville, IL.

She worked as the office manager for 30 years for the Bethalto United Methodist Church, a member of The Order of the Eastern Star, an avid quilter, accomplished seamstress, taught Sunday School for 50 years, a member of the Bethalto United Methodist Women, a member of the Red Hat Society, and a USO hostess during WWII.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Dustmann of Bethalto; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna Kay & John Suessen of Bethalto, Mary Lou & Don Stephenson of Bethalto; four grandchildren, Aaron Suessen, Leah (Suessen) Brueckner and her husband Matt, Jessica (Suessen) Brueckner and her husband Bradley, and Bart Stephenson; four great grandchildren, Madelyn, Meredith, Miles and Abigail Brueckner.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Dugger, Howard Dugger, and a nephew, Joe Harley Dugger.

In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Sunday September 19, 2010 at Bethalto United Methodist Church, 240 E. Sherman Street, Bethalto, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Monday September 20, 2010 at Bethalto United Methodist Church with Rev. John Tennyson officiating.

Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Bethalto United Methodist Women’s Mission Fund.
