Winona "Beth" Frye, 80, died at 1:28 p.m., Monday, March 21, 2022, at SSM DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton, Missouri.
She was born in Jerseyville, Illinois on March 27, 1941, and was the daughter of Arthur "Bud" and Winona Lenore "Winnie" (Wineland) Tucker.
Beth worked in retail the majority of her adult life, many of those years spent as a picture framer at Graham's Variety, and later in life enjoyed her time as a cook at Dairy Queen, both in Jerseyville. She was a loyal member of the New Life Church of the Nazarene in Jerseyville.
She married Robert Leonard Frye on May 18, 1957, in Winchester, Illinois, and together they shared 62 years of marriage until his death on October 17, 2019.
Surviving are her four children and their spouses, Wayne and Diane Frye of Jerseyville, Cheryl and Bruce Sandberg of Godfrey, Becky and Harold Inlow of Jerseyville, and Angie Partridge of Jerseyville; twelve grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Kathy Plough of Alton.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jordan Partridge on May 25, 2006; a brother, Arthur Tucker, who was killed in action during the Vietnam War; and a sister, Carmen Burgess Woodring.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2022 at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville, where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Rev. Drew Brandt will officiate.
She will be laid to rest in Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.
