William Maurice Tieman, 72, of Granite City, IL, passed away at 4:30 p.m. Mon. Aug. 31, 2020 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City.
He was born July 2, 1948 in St. Louis, MO to the late Harry Bernard & Flora (Prange) Tieman.
On Aug. 18, 1973, he and Jacqueline Louise Gruner were married in Grant Fork, IL. She survives in Granite City.
The U.S. Army Vietnam veteran was a meat cutter a printing press operator and a talented wood worker and a member of Hope Lutheran Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 4 children: Brian (Tina) Tieman of Granite City, Mark (Holly) Tieman of Maryville, IL, Matthew Tieman of Granite City and Nichol Renee Tieman of Granite City; 4 grandchildren; a brother: Richard Tieman of Old Ripley, IL; and a sister: Flora Scott of Herrin, IL.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Marr.
