William L. “Billy” Ferguson, 70, died Thursday, December 6, 2018, at 9:25 a.m. at the Pathway East Morton Home in Jacksonville, IL. He was born on April 26, 1948 in Carrollton, IL, the son of Ernest J. and Clara M. (Noland) Foster. Billy, a man who loved to make people laugh, was an avid Cardinals baseball fan, lover of horses, fan of Diana Ross, and the movie “Titanic.” Billy is survived by a sister, Marsha (Bob) Berger of Jerseyville, two nephews, Kent (Linda) Brown of Klamath Falls, Oregon and Kevin Brown of Reno, Nevada, an aunt, Joan Foster, and an uncle, Roy Foster. He is also survived by his loving care givers: Denise, Cheyenne, Amanda B., Sara, Carey, Tiffany, Dee, and Amanda M. and his house mates: Ryan, Tanner, Ricky, Ronnie, Dick, Steven, and Jerry. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was a member of the Charity Christian Center of Jerseyville and will be missed by many friends. Visitation will be on Sunday, December 9, from 3 pm to 7 pm at the Charity Christian Center of Jerseyville. The funeral will be on Monday, December 10, at 10 am at the Charity Christian Center, with Pastor Wilbur Cain officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pathway East Morton Home to purchase furniture for Billy’s friends. Alexander and Gubser Funeral Home are in charge of the arrangements.
