William “Bill” Killion, 73, passed away on March 18, 2023. He was born on September 15, 1949 to Louis & Rose (Fleming) Killion in St. Louis, MO.
Bill Killion was raised in Jerseyville IL and was a graduate of Jerseyville High School Class of 1968. He worked at his sister’s gas station, Midway Zephyr until he served in the US Army as a medic assistant during the Vietnam War. After coming home, he began his entrepreneurial career. Bill owned many businesses in his lifetime, including several dance and concert venues; MATEC, Inc.; and lastly, Budget Blinds, of which he was the proudest. Budget Blinds gave him the ability to exercise all of his passions – sales, creativity, and hard work. Bill was a gifted builder and handyman.
Bill was a believer in Jesus Christ and was a faithful member of Kingdom Life Christian Ministries in Belleville, IL and was respected as a man of great faith and wisdom. He was loved by all who encountered him.
He was creative, comical, and generous. You were guaranteed at least one belly laugh while you were in his presence. He also had a great passion for all things sweet—candy, cakes, cookies and pies. He especially loved his daughter’s Scintillating Lemon Pie!
Bill is survived by his wife, Daneen Killion; his children, Timothy Killion, Lindsey (Theodore) Master and Chassidy (Johnny) Donelson; four grandchildren—Adaline, Finnegan, Houston and Hudson; his brothers—Richard (Theresa) Killion of Jerseyville, Robert (Yvonne) Killion of Des Peres, Mo.; and many nieces and nephews.
