William K. Fenton, 84, passed away at 7:15 am Monday, February 7, 2011 at Willow Rose Rehab and Health Care in Jerseyville.
He was born on April 19, 1926 in West Frankfort, IL, the son of William H. and Angie (Ennis) Fenton.
He married Alice F. Hawkins. She passed away April 1, 2004.
William served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1943 to 1946 in World War II. He was a telephone lineman for SBC for over 35 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Alton/Wood River Sportsman Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and archery and was a self taught gunsmith.
Services will be private.
Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
