William Dale Haynes, 77, of Edwardsville, IL, passed away at 2:05 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.
He was born Dec. 18, 1946 in St. Louis, MO to the late Alfred and Ruth (Gay) Haynes.
William retired from Granite City Steel as an equipment operator. He enjoyed his position as president of the resident council at Evercare at University where he was a resident.
He is survived by a daughter: Carla (Donald) Kay of Pontoon Beach, IL; two sons: Frank (Tina) Haynes and Anthony Haynes of Granite City; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren: a sister: Robin (Floyd) Hamlett of OK; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter: Marilyn Haynes; and a brother: Michael Haynes.
The family will hold a celebration of William’s life at a later date.
