William E. Lawson, 58, beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away at 12 pm July 19, 2011 at home with his family by his side.
He was born on Dec. 16, 1952 in Alton, the son John E. & Carolyn (Pfeffer) Lawson.
He is survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Carole Massalone of Alton and Barbara & Richard Sewell of Alton; two brothers, John F. Lawson of Sand Springs, OK and Steven Lawson of Wood River and, many nieces & nephews and a two special friends, Robin Harris and David Howell.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph & Michael Lawson and a brother-in-law, Sam Massalone.
No Visitation will be scheduled.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am Monday July 25, 2011 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton.
Cremation rites will follow and inurnment will be private at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Godfrey.
Memorials may be made Masses.
