William “Bill” M. McDaniel, 77, went home to be his Lord at 8:39 am August 22, 2015 with his family by his side.
Bill was born Cardwell, MO on September 5, 1937. He was the son of the late Alan and Leona McDaniel.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth A. (Ziegler) McDaniel.
Bill was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family above all. He retired in 1995 from Ford Motor Company after 30 years. He was an avid bowler and upon retirement he taught himself to play golf. He was a member of Eagles Lodge FOE #254 and Moose Lodge #951.
Surviving are his daughter, Vickie (Scott) Fallon of Overland, MO; his sons, Rick McDaniel of Dittmer, MO and Jeff (Stephanie) McDaniel of Maryland Heights, MO; three Step-Children, Donna (Zina) Bland of Alton; , Darrell (Elinda) Bland of Elsah, and Victor Urbonas of Alton; fourteen grandchildren, Jason, Anthony, Brandi, Bobby, Randy, Dara, Devyn, Miranda, Matt, Jesse, Justin, Kaitlyn, Lance, and Eli; six great-grandchildren, Randa, Dylan, Owen, Tatiana, Kairi, and Shana; three brothers, Jay (Barb), Ron (Donna), and Curt (Pat), and 3 sisters, Mary, Betty, and Blanche.
In addition to his wife and his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Gloria McDaniel and his step-son, Robert Bland.
Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Tuesday August 25, 2015 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton, IL.
Funeral service will be at 10 am on Wednesday August 26, 2015 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton, with Scott Hanks and Nathan Pedigo officiating.
Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park.
