Virginia S. Sitzes, 82, formerly of East Prairie, MO passed away Friday, September 22, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born March 28, 1941 to Earnest “Clarence” and Tessie (Smith) Sterling. She married Ronald Sitzes March 3, 1962; he preceded her in death January 18, 2002.e
Virginia was dedicated her to her family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing bingo and poker.
She is survived by three daughters, Michelle (Doug) Henline of Bethalto, Kim (Jeff) Heflin of Bunker Hill and Karen Fowler (Charley Summers) of Rockbridge, IL; grandchildren, Skyler Golden, Samantha Golden, Taylor (Nick) Calsara, Devin Fowler, Sydney (Nic) McCall and 5 great grandchildren.
Also preceded her in death were her parents; daughter, Rhonda Golden and five siblings, Clyde Sterling, Ruth Light, Mae Tidwell, Genola Ford and Lois Bishop.
