Virginia L. Jenkins, 82, went to be with the Lord, 11:02 pm, Thursday, December 24, 2020 at OSF St. Anthony's Health Center in Alton.
Born September 15, 1938 in Hartford, she was the daughter of Oren and Lula (Farnsworth) Berry.
She married Jerome "Jerry" Jenkins on December 21, 1963 in Hartford. He died October 3, 2000.
Surviving are two sons, Tom Jenkins of Bethalto, Steve Jenkins of Donnellson; three grandchildren, Ryan (Faith) Jenkins, Matt Edwards, Jill Edwards; seven great grandchildren; and two brothers, Ron Berry of East Alton, Jim Berry of Bethalto.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and son, James Gregory Jenkins.
Private services and burial will be conducted Tuesday at Woodland Hill Cemetery. Rev. Sharon Archer will officiate.
