Violet Nina (Evers) Dugge, 96, passed away at 9:53 am on November 11, 2020 at OSF St. Francis in Alton, IL.
Violet was born August 3, 1924 in Alton, IL, the daughter of William Charles and Ella Mae (Robertson) Evers. She married the late Wilbert Adolph Heinreich in November of 1944.
Violet worked in the sales department of Sears. She was an accomplished artist who traveled extensively across the globe. She was truly a patron of the arts. Violet was an avid reader and enjoyed collecting dolls and crocheting. She was a good cook and interior decorator as well. Most of all, she loved spending time with family.
She is survived by her children; Wayne Dugge of Alton, IL, Michael (Nancy) Dugge of Godfrey, IL, and Marjorie Bligh of Wood River, IL; 9 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Maggie.
Violet was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Jeanine McAfee; and her siblings.
A private graveside service will be held at Upper Alton Cemetery in Alton, IL.
