Violet Kay Greenhill

Violet Kay Greenhill, 64, passed away at 1:49 pm on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.   

 

She was born on September 14, 1947 in Granite City, IL, the daughter of Samuel and Violet (Bloodworth) Nickell.  

She married Richard D. Greenhill at Washington Park Baptist Church on October 12, 1968.  He survives.   

 

Violet was a homemaker.  She was of the Pentecostal faith.  She also sang at different events, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Richard D. and Alison Greenhill II of Fort Myers, FL and Michael Greenhill of Moro and a sister, Mary Elmore of Carbondale, IL.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Nona Reynolds, a niece, Debbie Elmore and a nephew, James Elmore.  

Graveside services were at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
