Vickie Lynn Lamere, 57, passed away at 4:08 pm on Friday, May 20, 2011 at her home with her family by her side.
She was born on June 11, 1953 in Wood River, IL, the daughter of Robert and Joyce M. (McVey) McIntire.
She married Michael J. Lamere on March 5, 1971 at Cherry Street Baptist in Alton. He survives.
Vickie worked in the warehouse at National Maintenance for 29 years. She was a member of Faith Christian Fellowship Church in South Roxana.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Michael L. Lamere of Kane; a daughter and son-in-law, Chad Brenner of Bethalto; three grandchildren, Chelsea and David Brenner and Aleesha Lamere; a brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Joyce McIntire of Alton; a sister, Pamela McIntire of Branson and several nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Lori Huddleston and her infant son.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Monday, May 23, 2011 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at the funeral home with Pastor Art Hooper officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
