Veronica “Sis’ Terlisner, 74, passed away suddenly on the evening of December 3, 2014.  She was born on May 14, 1940, in Alton, to Henry and Veronica (Cummings) Rodgers. A graduate of Alton High School, she married John (Jack) Terlisner on February 19, 1966 and they spent 48 years together raising three children. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to many. 

Sis is survived by her husband, Jack, and her children and their spouses: John and Jodie of Atlanta, Georgia; William of Quincy, Illinois, and Theresa and Edward Northcutt of Godfrey.  Four grandchildren Edward and Katie Northcutt and Jack and Peter Terlisner.  A brother Henry Rodgers and his wife Annie King of Los Angeles, California.  A brother-in-law Malcolm Gray of Deland, Florida; sisters-in-law Lois Riordan of Princeton, Illinois, Patricia Terlisner of Newport, Rhode Island; and Ruth Croxton of Alton and Rita and Jim Velloff of Alton along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Mary Anne Gray, and an infant grandson Louis.

A memorial visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 8, 2014 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey, where she was a long time parishioner, celebrated by Father Steven Pohlman.

Gent Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Marquette Catholic High School or the St. Ambrose Grade School Endowment.
