Veronica Gay (Pine) Jones, 64, of Edwardsville, passed away on February 20, 2021, at her home. She was born July 18, 1956, at Scott Air Force Base to Ruth (Pace) Pine of Glen Carbon and Donald Pine of Edwardsville.
Veronica was a 1974 graduate of Edwardsville High School. She worked many years in the foodservice industry as a waitress at The Sausage Shop and PK's Restaurant.
She is survived by her parents; her daughter: Kacey (Andy) Becker of Bethalto; two grandchildren: Nicole and Andrew Hayden of Bethalto; two brothers: Michael and Jeff Pine of Edwardsville; a sister: Teresa Rixie of Subiaco, AR; nine nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her sister: Patricia "Patti" Pine; brother: Stephen "Harley" Pine; grandparents: Jesse and Helen Pace and Ray and Dorothy Pine.
Private graveside services will be conducted at St. Boniface Cemetery in Edwardsville.
Memorials are suggested to the Metro East Humane Society in Edwardsville.
