Vera M. Berkemeier, age 82, passed away at 12:05 a.m. on Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at Jerseyville Nursing & Rehab in Jerseyville, Il.
She was born on June 27, 1929, in Chouteau Township in Madison County to the late John W. and Irene A. (Nalley) Marshall.
She married Edward “Ed” Berkemeier in Wood River, IL.on April 30, 1965. He survives.
She is survived by her husband and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son.
Visitation will be from 10am till time of service at 11am, Friday August 19, 2011 at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton, Il. Rev. Charles West officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Garden in Edwardsville, Il.
