Vera Catherine Sibley, 92, of Chelsea, MI, formerly of the area, died Sun. Nov. 10, 2013 at the Chelsea Retirement Community in Chelsea, MI.
She was born June 26, 1921 to the late Ray & Lillie (Buchanan) Inskip.
She married John Sibley Oct. 12, 1940. He preceded her in death on May 17, 1992.Mrs. Sibley worked at Ben Franklin in the Eastgate shopping center for 20 years.
Survivors include: a son & daughter-in-law, Richard & Pat Sibley of Rolla, MO, 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy & Jack Novodoff of Ann Arbor, MI and Donna & Richard Judson of Noblesville, IN, 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and a brother, Cleo Inskip of Collinsville, IL.Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by: a granddaughter, Jodie Novodoff, a daughter-in-law, Julie Sibley and 2 brothers, Basil & Earl Inskip.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thurs. Nov. 14, 2013 at Paynic Home for Funerals, where services will be at 10:00 a.m. Fri. Nov. 15, 2013 with Pastor Richard Judson officiating. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
