Utha Carrol Nisinger, 89, died at 4:30 a.m. Monday, February 07, 2011 at St. Clare’s Hospital in Alton.
Born December 25, 1921 in Grafton, she was the daughter of Cevero and Anna (Ward) Boyer. She was a member of the Emmanuel Free Methodist Church. On April 22, 1939 in St. Charles, MO, she married Charles E. Nisinger. He preceded her in death on January 25, 2005.
Surviving is a daughter, Patricia C. Webb of Alton, two sons, Charles E. Nisinger Jr. and his wife Jane of Bethalto, and Ralph D. Nisinger and his wife Connie of Godfrey, two grandchildren, Christopher Nisinger and wife Sara of Albany, GA, and Lauren Boley and her husband Lionel of Alton, two great grandchildren, Ava Michael Boley, and Brandon Edward Nisinger, one brother, Leroy Boyer, and two sisters, Sarah Boyer and Pearl Bocken all of Hammond, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, Paul, Harvey and Claude Boyer, and two sisters, Ruth Adney and Hope Younger.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be at Upper Alton Cemetery.
Reverend Mark Scandrett will officiate.
Memorials may be made to St. Anthony’s Hospice or the 5A’s Animal Shelter.
