Trevor J. Herderhorst, age 40 of Highland, IL, died Sunday, April 25, 2021, at his home.
He was born on Wednesday, August 20, 1980, in Belleville, IL, the son of Ray and Eliene (nee Justus) Herderhorst.
On Saturday, September 12, 2009, he married Tiffany S. Herderhorst, nee Durbin, at Metro Community Church, Edwardsville, IL, who survives.
He was a member of Champaign Firefighters Local #1260; Muddy River F.O.O.L.S.; and Associated Firefighters of Illinois and their Honor Guard.
Trevor was born in Belleville and grew up in Cahokia. He graduated from Dupo High School. Later on he graduated from SIUC with a Bachelor's Degree in Fire Service Management. He became a Granite City Firefighter in 10/21/2014 to 2018; he then worked as a Firefighter for the City of Champaign, IL starting 2/26/2018. He and his family lived in Granite City, Vandalia and Highland. His true passion was baseball and being a Firefighter.
Survivors include: Wife - Tiffany S. Herderhorst, nee Durbin, Highland, IL; Son - Chase M. Herderhorst, Highland, IL; Daughter - Olivia M. Herderhorst, Highland, IL; Parents - Ray E. and Eliene M. (nee Justus) Herderhorst, Alhambra, IL; Father In-Law & Mother In-Law - Mike & Lucetta (nee Dothager) Durbin, Vandalia, IL; Paternal Grandmother - Marge Herderhorst (nee Phillips), Columbia, IL.
He was preceded in death by: Paternal Grandfather - Gus P. Herderhorst; Maternal Grandparents - Don & Adele (nee Eugea) Justus.
Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, April 29, 2021, at the Olde Wicks Factory in Highland, IL.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 30, 2021, at the Olde Wicks Factory in Highland, IL, with Chaplain David Ashby, Champaign Fire Dept. Chaplain, officiating.
Interment will be at Highland City Cemetery in Highland, IL.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Children's College Fund (Please make payable to Tiffany Herderhorst).
