Tottie Plessa

Tottie Plessa, 77, died at 10:51 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Riverside Rehab and Healthcare.  Born May 11, 1943 in Roxana, she was the daughter of Fredrick 'Fred' and Mayme (Avramovick) Plessa.  Tottie retired from the payroll department of Missouri Union Pacific Railroad.  She was an avid bowler and served as secretary/treasurer of the Greater Alton Woman Bowling Association and secretary/treasurer for the Wednesday night Ladies Bowling League at Bowl Haven Lanes.  She was also an avid billiards player.  She married Vicki D. Young on August 26, 2011 in Edwardsville.  They had been together since 1980.  Along with Vicki, Tottie is survived by nieces, Jamie (Greg) Page, and Tina, nephews, Jason Auston and Kevin, great nieces, Zoey and Hailey Auston, great nephew, Matthew Page, cousin, Dorothy Roam and her neighbors and close friends, Chris Jacobs and Katie Cook.  Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Sue McGuire.  No services are scheduled.  Memorials may be made to the Riverbend Humane Society, 23402 Crystal Lake Road, Jerseyville, IL 62052.  Gent Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.  Online guestbook and information may be found at www.gentfuneralhome.com
